Talented young Hastings fighter Valentina, picked for Martial arts Mentorship
Valentina 'The Real Boss' Barbosa (sponsored by I am Fighting Fit; fighting out of Double K, Hastings K1 kickboxing and Muay Thai club), was picked by Katie, AKA 'the Bansee' ( a world Taekwando champion and professional female fighter and British K1 Kickboxing champion) to represent some of the most influential, up and coming, martial artists as the face of her mentor-ship programme 'The Mini Beast Movement'.
Picked as one of the top 100 young martial artists in the world; this is a fantastic opportunity and is based on important characteristics, such as 'Hard working attitude, Champion mindset and Warrior attitude' over focusing solely on accolades such as medals and trophies.
This project is all about celebrating the the hard work and commitment to the sport, not just winning, with a focus on boosting the mental health and self esteem of the talented young fighters and martial artists, champions and future champions to be!
This Mentorship programme acceptance is yet another recognition of Valentina's dedication to her sport and love for fighting. After winning her World title, less than 2 weeks ago, she is going from strength to strength! With constant commitment to both her training and her diet, Valentina deserves all the successes that she works so hard to achieve!
Valentina is a vegan/plant based athlete and receives continued nutritional support, as well and healthy prepared meals, tailored towards both her dietary and training requirements, to help her fuel herself for all the tough training she does prior to fighting. This helps get the most out of her physical performance, and aids her recovery, before stepping in the ring!
Her next fight will be on November the 10th, when she will be fighting for a K1 kickboxing British Title - This will be an exciting one to watch, on a show which is packed with fantastic fighters; with some great matches and plenty of action packed title fights too!
